Understanding Sandy Jeff and the world of mentally ill There is little communication normally between people who are across the border line of sanity and the psychiatric world that will live to treat them. But Sandy Jeff has broken the myth of the mental illness called schizophrenia and through her writing of poems have been able to communicate to the psychiatric world the turmoil that goes through the minds of a schizophrenic and takes the patterns and shapes of an illusory world. Her poems express the feelings and thoughts that traverse the mind of a mentally ill person who is creative.
