The voting results are in – 93.9% female to 6.1% male (31 votes female to 2 votes male). Thus the overwhelming majority of students in this course believe that females have the more difficult development in the USA of 2018. Obviously both sexes have liabilities associated with their roles in the USA. But one issue showed by the vote is that the male perspective is neglected. Perhaps that is because well over 60% of RCC students are female and there are few males in the class. More likely it is because we are better at tending to the needs of females, while also failing to recognize the problems connected to the traditional male sex role in our culture. Accordingly, students who voted female must address at least three of the pro-male points listed below in their first post, and one of the three must be the sex-based difference in criminal sentences. These students should also provide evidence as to why they believe females have a more difficult development in spite of the “pro” male argument, or, state how their view has changed. Students who voted male can use the points below as a springboard for their own initial comments. However, in subsequent posts, the “male” voters must address points listed by the pro-female students. All students must create a post before being able to view the posts of others.
