Likewise, research psychologists working in forensic settings may evaluate the effectiveness of a test across various cultures. Yet psychology professionals with a western service delivery system in mind write the APA Ethics Code and the AP-LS guidelines. When forensic psychology professionals venture beyond the borders of the United States and other “western” countries, what constitutes “ethical practice” may not always be commensurate with current codes of ethics. As a student of forensic psychology, it is important to think beyond western approaches to forensic psychology.
